You can read Cyber Crime Bill 2016, punishment details from its original approved copy, some key features are listed below.
  1. ·        Spreading False Information about an Individual may result in up to 3 Years in Prison or up to Rs. 1 Million in Fine or both. A person sharing wrong information on Facebook that damages his/her reputation may come under this sentence.
  2. ·        Making or Spreading Explicit Images or Videos of an Individual may result in up to 5 Years in Prison or up to Rs. 5 Million in Fine or both.
  3. ·        Making or Spreading Explicit Images or Videos of Minor may result in up to 7 Years in Prison or up to Rs. 5 Million in Fine or both.
  4. ·        Child pornography may result in up to 7 Years in Prison or up to Rs. 5 Million in Fine or both.
  5. ·        Cyber stalking may result in Up to 3 Years in Jail or Up to Rs. 1 Million in Fine or both. Cyber stalking includes repeatedly call someone or send emails with no interest of other.
  6. ·        Hacking Email or phone for Stalking may result in Up to 3 Years in Jail or Up to Rs. 1 Million in Fine or both.
  7. ·        Making Videos or Pics and Distributing without Consent may result in Up to 3 Years in Jail or Up to Rs. 1 Million in Fine or both.
  8. ·        Hate speech may result in Up to 7 Years in Prison or fine or both.
  9. ·        Spamming may result in Three Months of Prison or Fine up to Rs. 5 Million or Both. Spamming includes Sending spam emails/SMS without permission of receiver, harmful fraudulent emails or misleading emails.
  10. ·        Unauthorized Access to Information System or Data may result in up to 3 Months Prison or up to Rs. 50,000 Fine or both.
  11. ·        Unauthorized copying or transmission of Data may result in up to 6 Months Prison or up to Rs. 100,000 Fine or both.
  12. ·        Interference with information system or data may result in up to 2 Years Prison or up to Rs. 500,000 Fine or both.
  13. ·        Unauthorized copying or transmission of critical infrastructure data may result in up to 5 Years Prison or up to Rs. 5 Million Fine or both.
  14. ·        Interference with critical infrastructure information system or data may result in up to 7 Years Prison or up to Rs. 10 Million Fine or both.
  15. ·        Glorification of an offence may result in up to 7 Years Prison or up to Rs. 10 Million Fine or both like You post on Facebook about Talibaan and say that they are good people etc.
  16. ·        Online Recruitment, Funding of Terrorism may result in Up to 7 Years in Prison or fine or both
  17. ·        Electronic forgery may result in Up to 3 Years in Prison or up to Rs. 250,000 fine or both like Change a contract/ agreement / invoice with intent to gain legal benefit.
  18. ·        Electronic fraud may result in Up to 2 Years in Prison or up to Rs. 10 Million fine or both, like You get into a relationship with someone with intents to cause financial damage.
  19. ·        Unauthorized use of identity information may result in Up to 3 Years in Prison or up to Rs. 5 Million fine or both like You use someone’s email address to pose as someone you aren’t.
  20. ·        Unauthorized issuance of SIM cards etc may result in Up to 3 Years in Prison or Up to Rs. 500,000 in fine or both
